We won’t have Rob on drums on Friday, but Treading Bleu’s ‘Trio’ show at the Old Dog Tavern in Kalamazoo is going to be sweet… You’ll definitely be hearing this song. I’m looking forward to hearing Carrie McFerrin and Caralie Raymond’s music live for the first time too! Support amazing your local music scene!!

Wow, what a beautiful song. :) It seems like a long time until May 19th, when Treading Bleu gets to play a show with Stacey again. But check out the very talented Stacey Koziel online and then come check out the show at the Old Dog Tavern on May 19th. It’s a long time out - so you have plenty of time to plan for it!

I love both of my nephews and my niece like crazy. I may complain when I’m asked to babysit them, but that’s mostly me being lazy and not wanting to make three peanut butter and jelly sandwiches at the same time. But I do adore them, equally. However, my nephew, Isaac…he was the first ‘kid’ to ever really come into my life. I was never one of those girls who babysat anyone’s kids growing up, and there were never little kids running around my family. So Ike was it for me. He fascinated me to no end from the very beginning, and now, at seven, he still continues to with some of the things he says and does.

Lyrics:
When you grow up, I want to see you win.
I hope you’re humble. I hope you’ll be a good man.
They call it crazy; this spinning wheel.
But don’t lose touch my dear…remember just to feel.
And I wonder if you’ll jump out of planes like your daddy.
And I wonder what it is that will make you happy.
I hope you’re happy.
This is a video I made for my friend Stacey Koziel, when she opened for us (Treading Bleu) at the Old Dog Tavern, a few weeks ago. It’s a brand new song called “Castaway” that will be on her upcoming split with Corey Bickford. :)
Yea… I am REALLY excited about playing this show on Friday. I get to play in an amazing band (Treading Bleu), with amazing musicians (Stacy Koviak, Chris Miroslaw and my brother Rob!), with another singer/songwriter that is going to be amazing (Stacey Koziel), at one of the most fun places in Kalamazoo (Old Dog Tavern). Woot woot! P.S. the poster is killer too - by Stacy Koviak @ Psoma Design. :)

In case you couldn’t make it to the Old Dog Tavern to see the first “official” Treading Bleu concert… here’s your first look. I put three HD videos from the show up on our Youtube page and they’ll soon be on the official Treading Bleu website. Enjoy!
Last night was such a blast… Treading Bleu’s first official show was at the Old Dog Tavern in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The Old Dog Tavern is a great place. Amy is an excellent host and everyody had a great time. Branden Mann got things off to a rowdy start, and everybody stomped and clapped along - Great show Mr. Mann! Brian Koenigsknecht was up next with some brand new songs and some classics. Check him out the next time he plays - incredible music and performer. I hope we can play another show together, Brian… :)
We played for about an hour and a half and didn’t play one cover song… 18 original songs written by Stacy Koviak and everything went so well (well except for the minor technical difficulties, but they didn’t affect the sound, thankfully). I’m still amazed that my brother Rob learned all the songs in the last few weeks and then we had one practice together as a band, on Friday, before the show. Wow, was that fun. :)
